Apply now for investment pitch training and support for ambitious companies in the geospatial community looking to secure investment. The first activity of the Geospatial Insights Special Interest Group, recently launched at GeoBusiness 2019 on the 22nd May, is an Investment Readiness and Pitchfest for the geospatial community. Run in collaboration with Geovation, and designed to support companies looking to secure investment, the programme culminates with an opportunity to pitch directly to a number of pre-selected investors. It also provides a high quality networking experience for entrepreneurs and investors to spark new ideas and opportunities. At the end of the training, companies will be able to better prepare an investor pitch and be more confident in delivery of their ‘story’. Companies will better understand the funding landscape, from pre-seed to Series A and beyond, and provide guidance on how to become investment ready. The programme is being jointly delivered by KTN and Geovation, a company which supports startups that use location or property data. To date their accelerator programme has supported 79 technology start-ups and £20m raised in investment funding. So what can you expect? Aymeric Teulon of Inavya Ventures Ltd took part in a similar programme for the Robotics and AI community last year. He said: “KTN helped us tremendously to streamline our message and focus on our core value proposition. Getting feedback from the team was incredibly helpful because we were then able to tailor our message to match UK investor expectations. The interaction with the other participants was also very valuable to us.”Contact Andy Bennett or Luca Budello if you have further questions.
