Round Hill Ventures' 'PropTech Connect' is where Europe's proptech community comes together - valuable learning and meaningful connections with investors, entrepreneurs, corporate players and the public sector.
Climate change is the greatest challenge of our times. UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change recommends that global carbon emissions should reach zero by mid-century in order to limit warming below 1.5C. Buildings account for over 1/3 of the energy we consume. Will energy use from new buildings be halved by 2030 and what role does technology have in reducing the negative environmental impact in the built environment?
This breakfast panel will explore the role of proptech innovations in creating 'energy efficient buildings'; addressing the questions such as:
Defining the pathway to net zero - how can it be put in place and who should regulate it?
How can we construct buildings that not only consume less energy but generate energy?
Net zero in residential and in commercial buildings - how can cooperation between the different stakeholders in the industry be achieved?
